A few mods here and there and counting....
So you're locked out of your truck and your first plan of action was to post on tacoma world? Call a locksmith or AAA.

Write down your VIN,take it to any dealer, and they will cut you a key.Works with Ford,I'm sure it will work with Toyota.Using a slim jim, etc. will fuck your paint up.

Jesus I hope not. It's super easy to get the VIN of a vehicle. Pretty easy to argue you can't prove ownership without being able to get into the vehicle and they should just give you the key.

I seriously hope it isn't that easy to get a key made. Or do I....

Should be able to prove you have ownership if you have an insurance card with the vin on it or something like that.

    Bright stuff
Proof of ownership usually entails bring in Cert of registration or a copy of the Title + Plus Drivers license w/ photo I own a couple of MB's also and just got another Laser Cut Key for similar situation of being locked out. When I picked up the key from Parts Dept. I had to fill out another form when I picked it up relieving them of liability if something happened.

My Brother runs a Lincoln dealership, they have similar process, you can't just waltz in and provide VIN # and get a key.
