rotors

im planning to remove and get the rotors turned but ive never done it in my 2007 taco....wondering if anyone has specific instructions like step by step to get it done

they come right off.....with a swift kick

 

Remove the wheels. I think the lugs are 21mm.
Remove the 12mm bolt that holds the brake line, it's where the brake line transitions from rubber to steel.
There are several bolts on the backs of the calipers, you will need to remove 2 of them. I think they are 14mm or 17mm. They're the larger 2 of all the bolts, they hold the caliper onto the knuckle/hub. You'll want a breaker bar for these.
Pull the caliper off the disc and either hang it off something with safety/bailing wire or set it on top of something so that it's not being suspended by the brake line.
Discs should pull right off, but if they don't than kick one side harder and harder until it breaks loose.

I'd recommend just buying new discs. I've never had good experiences with getting discs turned and it isn't much more expensive to replace them completely with higher quality discs.
