So I have some big news, this is not a joke. I sold my truck this weekend. I was offered a job in Indianapolis and accepted. So to get a down payment on a house the truck had to go. I also bought a 2004 Crown Vic that was an old man's daily driver with 68514 on the odometer. I know, I know, WHY? Well it's simple. I can buy another Tacoma one day and get one more to my liking, like an x-runner or a v6 6-speed. The other reason I bought the Crown Vic is because I will be making the 232 mile commute everyday until our house is sold here and we can take up permanent residence in Indy. I had driven the truck up there a few times for interviews and to sign paper work. There was no way I was going to do that 5 days a week in a truck...

So I am going to follow mntbiker's lead and hang around, belly ache about not having a truck and still show up to meets when I can.

Yes, I did replace the rotted boards on the deck before the truck went. So next weekend will be power washing and staining. Plus about a million more tasks as delegated by the boss.

Edit: I have some parts between what I pulled and what I had yet to install. I'll be posting them in a few days. I did want to let everyone in here know that I have a Grom Audio iPod adapter for the factory head unit. It works great and wish they made one for the Vic. PM me for info or wait for the Sell thread.

The pics look great. I wish that I could have made it up there one more time before the truck went, but the deal was to good to pass up.

congrats on the job! sucks about the truck but sometimes you gotta make the "big kid" choice. :( I will let you and about a million other people know as soon as I figure out how to grow that money tree in my back yard.

Thanks everyone for coming down. I had a great time. Next meet will have to be when it isn't so hot.

I'll probably take your guys up on that offer. We will just have to plan a day that it isn't so hot.

Thanks, Ill probably plan something for July.

Thanks, I'll keep you posted as to when.

Thats unfortunate but you have to do what you have to do! GL w/ the Crown Vic.

Glad everyone had a good time. Been a busy weekend for me. ONCE AGAIN I had to back out. Stupid water heater went out friday night, pretty convenient right? So, after realizing it wasn't something I could fix myself, I had to call a repair guy, so I was waiting around all F'n day saturday for him to show up.

That really sucks. Mine went out about a year ago. The whole hot water heater leaked all over my finished basement. Since the water that leaked water hot it disolved all the glue holding down the laminent tiles. It was a mess. But surprsingly it wasn't that hard to replace. If you know how to solder you can install it. Took me and my dad about 2 hours. Did you finally get it installed?

Luckily it didn't have to be replaced. It was a part used to ignite the water heater (thermo couple). A part that is apparently pretty easy to replace considering the repair man was in and out in a half hour.

You got lucky. But it seems like that is a common problem. I had to have a guy come replace mine in the new water heater about 8 months after I bought it. I was lucky it was still under warranty.

Yeah it was the one hill that is right out of the creek near the road.

She was using her Nikon D3000. It does a decent job for the price point. No video though which is kind of lame.
