Troy Medieval muzzle brake

I picked up a Troy medieval brake today. I was wanting a Tromix Shark but I guess they don't make them anymore. Local gun store had this a couple different YHMs, a Miculek and a Surefire in stock. A couple of my buddys have the Miculek and I like it a lot but I didn't want to be a copy cat! After looking at the Troy brake I decided to give it a try. The machining on it looks top notch. And the slots aren't just a fancy design, they are beveled at different angles. It looks like it should work. Here are a few pics. I'll have a range report on it soon. Hopefully on Monday.

Took it to the range yesterday and I really like it!. Less than 1" groups double tapping ay 5 yards. Very controled recoil. I'm really enjoying thus gun! After I get more proficient with the iron sites I'm going to get an eotech, probably by the end of summer.

 

I love the looks of that but have a question. It looks like the gases will escape blowing left so pushing the gun to the right. It that correct?

 

eh? the gases blow out three slots. top, left-bottom, and right-bottom. i had a bushmaster y comp on mine. worked beautifully but it was loud as fuck. yours looks like it'd be much nicer lol nice buy!

 

i've been keeping an eye on your post, and was wondering your outcome?

 

I like it a lot. It's really controllable and has a great sound. My buddy has a miculek brake and it's really loud and blows gases right in my face when I'm shooting next to him and this Troy doesn't. It's my only comparison and I really don't know a lot about this stuff but I'd buy another one for sure!
