Toy OEM iPod Interface kit - Help please?

    Help please...
    I received a Toy OEM iPod interface today, and flipped through the instruction manual...I see several references to the Satelite radio in the iPod owners manual. More specifically, the Introduction reads:The interface kit utilzes the satelite radio (SAT) controls of your radio. Therefore satelite radio controls are used to search for and play music from the iPod.
    Long story short, I am sure I dont have a satelite radio in my 06 Toy Tac DCSB, TRD Sport. Before I start disassembly of the dash to install the interface, do any of you guys happen to know if I need sat radio capability for the interface to work and function properly?

    Additional Info:
    I pulled the rubber sleeving from the interface unit and it indicated that this OEM Toy unit is an Alpine PT545-00082 unit; product code: MXTY709A
    H/W 1.0 S/W 1.0
