So I'm getting a $600 check from my insurance company for the property damage side of a claim from a wreck. I had a 3" lift on my old truck with the stock tires and rims on it. I have the same truck now but with 16" XD Hoss wheels and no lift.

Basically I want some opinions. I can either do the lift (and keep the stock tires) or I can get a color matched grille, black rear bumper and some other small goodies. I've been going back and forth so any opinions would be appreciated.

Or if you have any ideas for something besides lift, grille, bumper than I'm all ears!

Here's a few pics for reference:

Since you went with black wheels, the chrome has to go.. Otherwise, your truck will look like it has an identity crisis. The colormatched grille is an easy fairly cheap upgrade. The bumper isn't so easy, or cheap...

I was thinking about that earlier. I definitely want to color match the grille but I was planning on going with black for the bumper but color matching the bumper too might look good. Or hell, maybe go with a black grille and black bumper.

Is it like matching shoes with the belt? Can I go with the gray grille and black bumper or does the bumper have to match the grille? Decisions, decisions...

LOL! I am going through the same type situation. I have about 900 coming to me. May be getting a Thompson Center Pro Hunter in a 30-06.

Sorry to thread jack but it is funny seeing somebody going through the same situation I am going through. :D We have the same truck too!

What happened to you? I was rear ended at a stop light by an uninsured drunk bitch doing about 50mph. I ended up getting a new truck for a bit less and a better interest rate. They're sending me a check for the aftermarket stuff I lost in the wreck, still negotiating the bodily injury stuff.

Father's day money, birthday money, and I took a class in June and will be getting $500.00 at the end of august! No wreck, just some money here and there. I just don't know what to do!

Part of me wants to wait and lift it when it is time for new tires. This way I can do it all at once.
