They dont work. Try it. Put it on, and take a pic from a different angle. Mythbusters did a special on them, and they didnt work for them. I took some photos of a buddies plate, in which I couldnt see the plate, but the camera did.

Whats the website and how much??? I read that AZ is trying to get these plate covers outlawed. I think the statute says something about covers must be clear and not tinted. As far as if they work??? Plenty of cameras here to test it on!!!!

Got a Supra? Anyone want it? Gimme you're Tacoma
Yeah it doesn't work its just one of those gimmics... mythbusters tried a bunch of different things even a lambo to out speed the camera. It doesn't work, maybe on daily cameras but the cameras they use will pick up the plate.

I have a buddy who bought reflective tape the same color as his plate and added lines to distort the numbers and letters. I also have a friend who is an idiot... he covers his face with his visor and hand when he rolls through the camera zone.

In California, it wouldn't matter. The owner of the car gets the ticket. If it wasn't them driving they have to provide who it was or the ticket is still theirs.

im telling you...things like this are just asking for trouble...

i bet if you check the local laws...concealment of the plate (and this can be articulated as such in court) is PROBABLY illegal

and even if its not...it could still be articulated as probable cause for a traffic stop...which would just add more headaches to your day

For red light cameras, I've found out that stopping works pretty well. I haven't gotten a ticket yet.:)

    Tint, Clear Corners,
These aren't red light cameras. AZ likes to put up cameras along the freeways (101 and I-17)

The licence plate covers do NOT work. Just slow down to the speed limit when coming up to them and just speed up when you pass them.:)

Good point. In Tucson, they have mobile speed cameras... usually set them up near schools.

    Tint, Clear Corners,
These are in a fixed position. They also have the mobile ones, but these are actual cameras that are usually right around corners or under overpasses.

Hell...they even have them now in Fountain Hills on Shea Blvd.

He's right. You'll only save a minute or two... I laugh my ass of at the people doing 65-70 on my way home from work (limit is 55 on the highway). They always seem to end up at the same stoplights that I do...
