    I have a 2006 Tacoma Double Cab V6, 92,000 miles ..when does the timing chain need to be replaced.And what else needs to be done..?

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    Only suspect the timing chain when you hear excessive tapping noise from inside the crankcase. You should have no problems with it, as long as you regularly change your oil with the correct grade.

    Does the 2011 Tacoma V6 have a timing chain or belt. Just replaced timing belt on my '89, and pullies for $940.00. Belt snapped coming up Mtn Pass, not a good situation at all.
