    Hi all i cant find any info on 1st gen tacomas with 2.5 inch to 3 inch lift I have new 17'' wheels and looking at getting a set of BFG All Terrains will the 285 70 17's rub I have king 2.5 coil overs and im on 31x10.5x15 with a big gap any Help?

    Yes they'll fit, just do some minor trimming inside the fender and you'll be gold

    What's the backspacing of the new wheels. For a first gen, you'll want 3.75-4" or so to fit the 285s.

    deck plate mod,jba cat back,bilstein 5100's,ome 883 springs, Allpro expos, allpro U-bolt flip kit, 10" Bilstien 5150 shocks, custom lower shock mounts
    That's what the stock rims have. You'll be better off with 3.75-4 inches so you don't rub the uca on a wider 285mm tire

    Wow to late now i guess Walker evans and another local wheel shop said 4.5 is what i want for a 96 taco.

    It might work out but you won't know until it's all mounted up. You could get wheel spacers or just return the rims for some with a different backspacing. Maybe someone with 4.5" backspacing and 285s could chime in

    I know the stock wheels are 4.5 back space. Why did All pro,Total chaos and Walker Evans Tell me 4.5 is what to run on 17's :confused:
