Thinking of doing some paint work on my guns... Help

    I've painted a few rifles, just make sure you tape off verything you don't want paint on. Then wipe down the whole thing with denatured alcohol to get off the oils (wear gloves). I used Krylon Camo paint from walmart. Then sealed it with a clear coat. Lasts pretty well and can be touched up easily. Experiment with different types of mesh for your snake skin look. heres my AR

    Ok so mesh makes a good pattern but how would ya stick it to the weapon?

    Put down a base coat of Tan then lay the mesh ontop of the place you want to paint and spray, test it on something first, it actually looks pretty sweet. If you take your time and plan it out.

    I've never done it, but maybe wrap it with mesh how you want and then twist tie the mesh together on the underside. This sounds like it will be pretty cool to do a diamond back paint job. I'm excited for you!

    I agree fully, and I'm sure you know, but don't rush it. My only thought is it may be difficult to get the full effect on a glock to visualize a diamond back; maybe look for a smaller mesh?

    hey, would duracoat stick well to sand blasted tacoma sport rims?

    powder coating = $100.00 a rim
    plasti dip and spray paint is not a permanent solution.
