This is my first piece of "furniture" I've built. I have experience building houses but not much stuff like this. I built it for my girlfriends aunt but the challenge was having to build it off site. I thought some guys would enjoy this. I would love to hear some thoughts but, be gentle, Im no pro.

For Reference the bar is approximately 110" long, 45" tall, and the bar top is 18" at the most narrow accross the front

Well she got a hell of a deal, but I would charge probably 2500-3000 for one this size again. Materials were around $1200 I think. But if a true pro did one it would probably be alot more.

Do you have more detailed step by step photos? In high school I used to do some amature finish carpentry/furniture making and would love to give something like that a shot for my soon to be new home. My biggest problem is figuring out where to start with something like this.

Haha Yes I do. The Aunt wanted to see the process out of curiousity so I have it very well documented, almost step by step.

Basically, just build a frame. cover it based on your taste/formality/budget. choose what top you want. I had access to an excellent assortment of tools. I would recommend atleast a compound miter saw as I used it for 90% of the cuts.

I do this kind of stuff all the time. but it be hard to say if my first bar turned out like this one. great job man. how long it take you start to finish? i just finished a custom oak front door for a client that was around 4 grand in total. so what you charged is a great price for the work you did. keep it up.

Since my job requires me to travel, the work was spaced out over two months. I could probably do one in 40hrs, that includes staining, epoxy, urethane, drying. It's hard to say how long it actually took me
