Congrats on the new Taco, have not seen that color befor. Would love to see it with bull bar. Black rims all ready make it look sweet

 

very nice. i finally saw that color in person not that long ago. it really pops in the sunlight

 

Thanks for the comments, the color definatly changes. When your in the shade, it's a dark forest green almost looks black, but in the sun it really lightens up.

I should be making some mods in November, would be sooner if I wasn't getting married next month.

Truck looks good never seen that colour in person. Nice baja wheels.

 

Figured I would start out with something easy, so I went to Lowes and bought some supplies to Plastidip my emblems.

I took a garbage bag and cut it up to mask off the emblems.

Next I masked off all the emblems.

 

Here comes the scary part! Especially being as I have only had this truck less than a month.




Repeated with 5 coats, 30 mins apart.

 

Well I was scared as hell this stuff was gonna screw up my paint, but I found out quick that it is actually an awesome product! Here is a video of the removal.

Drew, I must also tell you that you made an excellent pick on your color! Go easy on the plasti-dip, too.

Very nice looking truck, I like the color a lot. Don't seem to see many timberland micas. I considered that color but I really wanted the darker interior, so went with mgm instead, but I'm excited to see how your truck turns out. You're on the right track! Good luck!

Today I added AVS in-channel low profile rain deflectors and a low profile antenna.


Funny that it started raining right after the install.

 

Drew, when you removed it, you didn't have to trim around the lettering? Just pull it away from the paint and it sticks to the emblems? It almost seems to good to be true.
