Tire itself is about $290 local. You can find it online for $265ish, but then you're in it for $40 shipping, so it comes out about the same.

Add mount, balance, and tax, and here we are in the mid 300s.

    The joys of offroading, right?

FWIW I still have no reason to believe these BFGs are any more vulnerable than any other tire. Hence why I'm sticking with them for now. We'll see how things go over the long haul.

Everyone looks at the price of the tire and forgets to include shipping, mounting, balance in their thought process.

There are a lot of things I like about these tires. I'm going to stick with 'em until I have a reason not to.

Aint too bad... but I'm sure for that price you would have it just the way you wanted, set style

Yeah, and sales tax here is 7%, so that's another $21ish or so.

I don't know the exact cost of the tire, mount, or balance. The guy quoted me the whole shit for 342 and change, and that's in the same ballpark as everyone else. I'm not shoppin' around to save $15 or whatever, I'm busy. Probably could've got it a bit cheaper by using a few hours of my time to call around, etc, but the time is more important for me.

    This.
