    Britain’s Criminal Utopia

If you want to see what a disarmed society looks like, look no further than England.Thousands of angry, drunk, violent thugs running wild and stealing anything they can carry. Shopkeepers and homeowners crippled with fear, unable to defend their loved ones or their property. Innocent citizens forced to watch helplessly while their life’s dreams — everything they worked so hard to build and acquire — are carried out the door, or smashed to pieces, or burned to the ground.

Not permitted to defend property with deadly force in my state. Are Texans the only folks who reserve that right?

You can if they are commiting Arson, or if you feel your life is in danger. Someone breaks a window in my house trying to get in, BOOM!

Eminent fear of loss of life is about the only reason that won't land you in prison here. AZ probably has better protection laws for its citizens.

Believe me, if one chooses to unlawfully enter my home whilst I'm there, I will ensure they don't get the chance to victimize anyone else.

Nope. If you were to see someone stealing your truck here and administered deadly force, or harmed them in any way, you have a very good chance of being on the losing end of a lawsuit or criminal prosecution. I'm not saying its right....but that's the law.

i wouldn't use deadly force on someone stealing my truck from a parking lot or my driveway (illegal or not, that is irresponsible)....unless they tried it with a weapon while i was in it. but you break into my house (for whatever reason) you are now threatening me and my family. a line has been crossed and i don't care what your intentions are. and at that point, the criminal has 2 options: 1) run away (and as long as i see their back, i won't fire) or 2) stay and take 3 in the chest

I'm with ya man, but Packerfan mentioned defending property. If you choose to abide the law here, you are just as helpless as the Brits.
