I'm a total newb when it comes to slasher flicks, etc...

Is it usually just the raw goriness that is so fucked up, or is there more to them that really makes you think? I'm not the type that believes in coincidence, I'm not religious, I don't believe in ghosts, etc so I'm just curious what else there is to these. Who knows, maybe some of these will change my outlook on that stuff? :p

I may have to start watching a few and see how far into them I can make it.

I was a FF/EMT for four years and saw some pretty disturbing things...but it will be interesting to see how I handle the films.

    Great thread idea!

I thought HOBO was gonna kinda be like MACHETE.....nope...not even close to as cool. It's worth a watch but it was pretty bland.

    Haven't seen Wassup Rockers.

To me......it's the flicks with real fucked up storylines like SALO.

Blood and gore ain't too messed up for me...that's pretty tame really.

It's the movies like "Salo", "The Girl Next Door", "Happiness", "Kids","Dogtooth", "Bad Boy Bubby", "Storytelling" - shit like that that really stays with you a couple days. Movies that make you say "what the fuck just happened"?. and "why was that flick made"??!!!

For instance Human Centipede, I'm a sick bastard but I never thought that 3 assholes and a sewing kit would make a sweet ass movie!

For me it's the movies that make you think, the ones with fucked up storylines!

    I've seen tons!

RAUNCHY Gore and really crazy gore movies like "Header"," Someone's Knocking at the Door", "Gutterballs", etc. - are WTF fun too!

Damn...it looks like my Instant Queue is going to be getting some more use.

I can't wait to see what the girlfriend thinks of them.

    Thanks for enlightening me!

My girlfriend says that to me all day, every day (we work together).

I say some pretty weird/random shit to her, "Hey baby, show me those titties!", "What does it feel like, carrying all that sex around with you every day?", etc...

She loves all of the basic horror movies I make her watch - The Hills Have Eyes, Hostel 1/2, Saw Series, etc...

She has yet to really see anything sick and twisted. If I can make it work, I will try and get a video of her reaction to these.

NICE! Watch Salo and have some pudding on standby......then have her start eating the pudding right around halfway (if I remember right) thru the movie...should be a "treat".

Yep, it is a true story. "An American Crime" is another movie about this same story. It's not as graphic and violent as "The Girl Next door".

    Def a fucked up story!

    :D

I asked her a similar question this morning..."Do you ever just feel like raping yourself? You know, throwing yourself down and just having your way...with...yourself?"

She just laughed and asked if I wanted some before I left for work.

As far as sick and twisted movies go...I'm still trying to get into a situation where I can play dumb and have Salo queued up on Apple TV and make her watch it.
