Well I finally had the AFE installed yesterday. Here are my comments so far:

Under light acceleration it offers a nice tone.

Full acceleration she be loud and once you get to around 60mph she be louder than I expected.

Seems to pull a little harder past 60mph and continues to pull strong.

Next up are my IPCW front lights.

    Regards

Yah unfortunately adding an aftermarket intake doesn't do much for our trucks, Gives it a nice roar but its proved you wont see any MPG gains or HP gains. But to each his own, It looks good in there and you like it. Thats whats important.

I have the same intake that came on the truck when I bought it from a private party. Is the filter a dry filter or do you need to oil it? Mine is white and the end is open as opposed to the ones that I have seen that are capped. Not sure if I need to oil mine or just wash it with water and let dry?!

you have to re-oil the filter , but you can buy K&N cleanning kit at any Auto part .It works good on any aftermarket filter. If you wash filter it won't clean at all after it dry.
