Hey everyone looking at getting a muffler pretty soon here. I'm looking for a deep/loud sound id like to see what everyone thinks is better. If you have personal experience with either pos/neg comments are greatly appreciated. thanks

This thread will be biased... You need to listen to the sound compilation thread and decide for yourself. I personally would never put a flowmaster on a truck... but to each his own.

I like my flowmaster 50. It's not too loud sounds pretty good.
That said I think I'd rather have my stock one instead, our trucks will never sound like a V8 no matter what we do.

the 40 is raspier and kinda high pitched but the 44 is deep and not as raspy. i would go with the 44, i had that before i upgrade to the super 10 race muffler which is VERY loud

I like my Dynomax Super Turbo. Deep, loud but good tone and sounds bad ass at idle in the drive thru. Of course thats on a 2.4. Not sure on a 4.0

Flowmaster are usually a baffle style muffler, which sounds really good. But with the baffle causes a lower flow rate. Noise reduction style/ straight through, flow much better and have good sound. If your looking for the best sound then the flowmaster, but the best performance is the noise reduction, I have the JBA catback and it's not as loud but I really like the sound and the performance is good
