    Is plasti-dip a mod?
LOL...I introduced myself yesterday. I was in such a hurry to read and post I failed to read about how to post....so here is my new truck. It's BONE STOCK!:D

I'm excited about adding things to it. I think the first thing will be rims, tires, and step bars. Any suggestions as to where to shop or think about doing? I'm not wanting it "SKY JACKED", just a little more aggressive looking.

Also, can you add your own lights to the front bumper where the templates are? This being a base 4x4, it didn't come with.

Glad you like my fog mod. I was going to sugest it to him. It seems people use it but never post.

OP [IMG]Welcome to TW from Sparks, NV. [IMG] Nice color choice.
Check out my build link at top of sig to see what can be done to the same Taco in the '11 version. Offical Vendors give TW discounts. ToyTec Lifts & Downsouth Motorsports are popular around here. I got mine from a local member returning his Taco to stock to sell it.

Are you going to 265/75/16? I will when I get around to it.

It came with 245/75/R16's. I dont have a budget for rims and lift. Through my studies I'm guessing I need the 5100's for a 2-3" lift without MAJOR technical wrenching? I dont mind the rear being a little higher, just looking for a good overall lift solution. I live in NE Arkansas, so I won't be doing any major off roading...it's pretty flat :) . It can be muddy though :)

Also, I think I'd like a little wider stance. Does that require spacers or just wider rims? Sorry for the newbness.

If I have learned correctly, you'd want more backspacing. Don't quote me on that...

265/75/16 Will fit just fine. TRDs come with 265/70/16 The same diamiter tires we now have just 0.78" wider. I helped a local install 5100s all around with front set at 0" and OME 884 front coils for 2" lift in front and 0" lift in rear.
His Taco '10 TRD OR with the TSB leaf pack.

With the new shoes: The rims are ProComp 7089s 16x8, 265/75/16 BFG KM2 tires.

The tires would have fit on stock rims.
Spacers on stock rims or backspacing on new rims would give a wider stance. Too much of ether can cause problems.
I'm sticking to my stock rims when I get new tires with no spacers. Maybe new rims at some point. And I'll probably go with Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10

How many leafs do your springs have?

I have 3 leafs in the rear. So I have to buy new springs and leafs as well? I thought I was seeing just the 5100 shocks for sale for the lift?

I was asking how many leaf springs you had because I was wondering If they fixed the problem yet. They did a TSB on rear leaf springs for harh ride with a load and would swap out the 3 pack for a 4 pack. Your truck will probably qualify. It gives 1 1/2" lift but some people don't like the ride of them. Matt the MGM iI showed in last post has the 1 1/2 TSB lift in back. Springs do the lifting, 5100s improve the ride quality.
Mine with 3" lift front and back and stock 245/75/16s. I showed you his so you could see what 265/75/16s would look like.
