Well I thought this day wouldn't come for quite a while

Decided to trade my Tacoma yesterday.....if the dealer can get the truck he located for me. I'll know tomorrow and pick it up Friday

I will miss my baby dearly.....it was my first new truck.

But my daily commute changed to 170 miles round trip 5 days a week. The Tacoma after the lift was maxing at about 15mpg. It just wasn't economical anymore.

I will still be lurking in the off-topic threads....

Thanks guys for all the informative posts. My truck never would have turned out like it did if not for you!

    Bye Bye Ol Blue....

Let's just say it's not a Toyota.....I don't want this to be the same brand bashing that other threads like this have turned out.

    It's a v8, leather, 4x4, 4 doors......loaded......and black.

Looks to be about 20....the guys I know with an equivalent truck are getting 19-20.

My payment and insurance are going to be about the same so I'll be saving roughly 160-175 a month on gas.

You gotta do what you gotta do, but won't the difference between your new loan amount, if you are taking out a loan, offset the savings in gas? Why not just buy a base civic or something for the commute?

Not bashing or anything. Just curious.

No....all things staying the same..(give or take $15) the savings is still good enough.

And I looked at getting a small car....the savings didn't justify driving 170 miles a day in a sardine can LOL
