I didn't bolt mine down because leaves, dirt and other shit get under it all the time. Much easier to clean if you can pull it out of the truck.

I love mine. Functionally speaking it's probably one of the best things I've gotten for the truck. Keeps the bed from getting scratched up which we all know it scratches very easily. Keeps things from sliding around as well.

I like my bed mat too but yeah I'd be paranoid about someone stealing mine too, if I didn't have my tonneau cover. Hell, last week on my campus one Taco got a tailgate stolen and another one got its tail lights stolen. So no, always better to be more cautious than not.

I wouldn't be without mine. Keeps things where I put them and I don't worry about cracking the bed floor either if I toss some bricks back there or something.

As others have said, it's quite heavy and awkward and kind of a hassle to steal quickly. I don't think they have enough black market value to be worth the risk.

I actually saved the bed mat from my Dakota and use it in the Tacoma now. The Taco is narrower, so I had to trim the mat. That was very time consuming with a razor knife. If you put a couple of bolts in it, no one is going to put in the time to steal it from you.

Totally worth it! So much easier to lay on that mat then without it. Hasn't been stolen yet either... (Knock on wood)! Want to catch some good stars at night in the back of your bed with a beautiful girl? Get the mat!!
