That's because business classes don't have midterms... We just have papers due every damn week. Having been in both for 2 years, I can honestly say that they are decently close in overall difficulty, though they challenge you in different ways. Engineering is focused all on its tests, its midterms, equations and the like... Structure. Business is focused more on how well you know your material, and having enough understanding of it to make someone else think that you know what you're talking about. I don't have midterms, just a lot of papers due, scattered throughout. They are close in overall difficulty, but business tends to be more spread out.

And as mentioned before, diff eq's are the demon child of Satan. Unfortunately, they are needed for everything that comes after it...

Don't get stressed over mid terms, they aint that bad, they seem daunting
but you'll be suprised how well you do on them, some of my friends would get super stressed over them back in HS, If you worry too much it just makes them tougher, good luck guys

Just took a Chem exam yesterday....Now off to study for my math exam for Friday...

Don't you hate those review sessions where you go in and you figure out that you don't know half of the material? Ugh.

Natural Resources exam coming up...Gotta finish 2 books..

    And Anthropology...

I take the afternoon off after a test and hit the river..Fly fishing helps my nerves :)

I already talked about my discontent with my last chem midterm.
Prof goes away for a week, sub doesnt cover content
prof comes back and hey! Let's do a 3chapter, 170pg test, rather than a normal 2 chapter test
    I spend all weekend studying
Then get a C on the test, because he pulled problems out of his ass and I forgot an equation

Incorrect... In school that is pretty much the complete opposite. In school, engineering is mostly regurgitation of info. Business applications force us into situations in which we are not comfortable or familiar with. When we get out into the real world though, engineering is very much problem solving. Business is too, but most people's jobs in business are simply day-to-day operations.

Damn, all of you guys sound really smart on here. I'm having some shitty midterms as well, but they are just History and Criminal Justice Midterms . . I'm terrible with sciences, I would fail everything if I were any of you :pout:

It's not that bad man. You get out what you put in... Most of the time. Some people are naturally talented, some spend a lot of time in learning centers, and many people just take up engineering for the paychecks. That's how I started college. I took engineering for two years before I realized that I didn't like it and couldn't see myself doing it my entire life. I took one Business class, loved it, and switched my major. Haven't looked back since...

I kind of know what your sayin. I started off college with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, ended up realizing I don't like it at all because I hate theories, research methods, etc. . Then I realized I absolutely love History. I found out I liked History a little late in my college career, so since I already had a good chunk of the Criminal Justice B.S. done I decided to add History as a second major. Now that I look back I sort of wish I went for History Education (for teaching), I think had I done that I wouldn't be regretting anything.

I am 2 classes away from graduating with a bachelors in business and I think engineering classes are harder than business classes. Alot of it has to do with me understanding business principles mo' betta than engineering principles. I cringe at the amount of math engineering majors have to take; my last math class I took was Calculus 1, as far as I can tell that's like a mid level engineering math class.

I think that whichever field interests you more will be easier than the other; if you dropped me into engineering classes I would be lost but if you put engineers into business classes they would be lost as well.

whats too expensive? clemson or the baja program?

because the program is free here, just like any other class.
