    same shit as everyone else
Look at my build... I ran tube steps for three years and hit them pretty good. They were bolted onto my frame... I bent the crap out of the drivers side ones... My passenger side door still has scares from a stump I hit without anything on the truck

how much are you trying to spend? buuying the cheapest sliders for offroading is kinda like using the cheapest bullet proof vest. yeah you can do it but why?

Yeah, you boys all have good points as to why I need sliders, and I agree I need them, just not right now. Sliders aren't a priority right now, wheels/tires are next, then maybe the sliders. Heck I haven't even taken the truck offroad yet and I've had it 5 months. Silly me, I haven't even read the manual on how to engage the 4WD yet!

But if a good set of used ones show up, or a killer deal on a new set, then I'll take them. But for now, I just can't justify paying out 4 bills or more on these.

I think one of the best bargains around. Seems like he does great work too.

I love the look of the AP sliders, just not the price tag. Looks to be great work though.

I bolted Avids weld-on sliders to the frame, because I didnt want to weld them on just yet since the truck was new. They are pretty solid set up like this.

Which sliders are those? I like those beefy plates but think they'd be even better with L brackets...just thinking.

Yeah! Mine bolt to factory holes much like the Slee's in the link below:

    http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/tacoma07_sliders.htm

I'm gonna make another set for my friend who is purchasing a new double cab 4X4. We werent really keen on the idea of welding or bolting to the frames plus if we ever sell the truck we can unbolt an resell em.

I designed and made the plates and sliders. I am in the process of making a better frame plate that bolts to all factory holes. No drilling required!

Got mine through All Pro love them some drilling but for the most part went on easy. Sand blasted and coated them with Hammerite flat black holding up so far.

The APs are some of the best and beefiest looking sliders out there with that large backing plate. That's like the standard now I'm looking for in sliders for my rig. Only thing is I'm not a fan of kickouts and they won't make them w/o.

How far do they stick out from the body? Pics!!!!

I will get some pic tomorrow but the stick out is not that bad, will save your tires and side if you cut it too close. got use to them and but a plate on the back so the kid and dog don't fall through make a nice step
