Someone who is not used to the controls in my truck moved it and accidentally left the lights on. When I went out to the truck 5 hours later, I did not notice whether the headlights were actually on, but the light stalk was in the on position. The truck started with no problem.

So I am wondering, is 5 hours not enough to drain the battery or does the Tacoma have some system that automatically shuts off the headlights after a certain time period?

It shuts the lights off after you turn off the truck and open the door

Oh yeah? Well my 91 had it, but it was a manual. I had to do that shit by hand. Like a man. In the dead of winter.

X2 i leave them on. that way other people driving can see me better.

brother that is a cop told me his department told him you can see a car 2’000 feet further with it’s lights on than a car that has it’s lights off.

so i don’t really turn them off. and fogs are also on. till i do the fog light mod.
