Toyota is teasing us! They loaded a teaser of a new 2016 Tacoma on Instagram this morning. Looks like a near Tundra styling clone in the pic they posted.

The teaser looks amazing, but... Then I google image searched 2016 Tacoma, and I legit saw one that looks like a dodge caravan with a bed. I seriously hope that artist was wrong

I like the headlights. About time they offered HIDs. Overall, the redesign seems to look very Hilux-y.

I'm sure it'll never happen, but I'm still hoping there is a small V8 option instead of an even smaller V6 and even smaller still turbo diesel. Us up here at high elevation really could use more power (and I don't have enough space to park a full-size).

I seriously hope Toyota hasn't made the Tacoma in a rush to compete with the Colorado.

    stuff
I spy a trailer wiring harness in the bumper (looks like it anyway). There's one fix Tacoma owners complain about... I wonder if Toyota looks to TW and other forums for ideas/feedback.

I like the idea of "Tacoma" being stamped in to the bed like that, as I think it looks awesome on the Tundra. But, has that "spy shot" of the whole body been confirmed as being legit? If so, I think I definitely prefer the lines and look on the 2nd gen (so far).

    Ah, I see.
In that case, I agree with you. Not really a fan of the new Tundra front end design.

I think just like the transition from 1st gen to 2nd gen, the designs Toyota will put out are going to have to grow on me.
