And a 4 cylinder diesel would be awesome in a Tacoma. I have thousands of miles behind the wheel of a 3.0L Sprinter diesel and the new 2.1L 4 cylinder diesel outperforms it. A friend recently bought an extended wheel base and longest version DRW sprinter with 2.1L and it absolutely hauls even with tons of gear and massive rolls of carpet inside. And there's crybabies coming on here saying a 4 cylinder diesel won't have enough power, please, they have no clue.

Edit: I was trying to post this in the "diesel" section, but whatever, it works here too.

Where I live diesel now costs 30% more than gas. That kinda got rid of the diesel advantage, especially when you live in a cold climate. I'm okay with no diesel option.

I agree, not to mention the initial purchase cost.

I hope the new truck doesn't hurt the values of our 2gens... Anybody else worried about that?

Re-skin with more technology and comfort features, plus one more gear in the slushbox. No improved frames or suspensions. Sounds to me like a more expensive, even less off-road capable Tacoma. It might actually improve the value of 2nd gens. NAIAS is a month or so away, so it will be interesting to check it out.

This exactly. And the 1st gens didnt decrease in value, its still a tacoma and a toyota at that. I bought a 15 knowing the 16 was coming and am more than satisfied and content with my 15, as I was with my 11 and my 08.
