I would do it in about 2 years, after bugs are worked out. I would also cross shop a Tundra for the fact it can haul more. Double cab TRD OR, undecided in color and transmission.

Yeah I would wait, there will be issues and as you can see by the Graveyard of trucks at the Stealerships waiting for frames. Or springs from the same problems that have been around since 2005. They are not quick to fix or care about fixing, JUST BUY MY SHIT THAT IS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT.

And, I probably would if my '14 wasn't 4 months old with less than 5k on the meter.

Debating Canyon vs. Taco TRD OR.

    Pros for Canyon:
    - Better frame
    - Doesn't look stupid
    - Better MPG (likely)
    - More room
    - DCLB with All Terrain package, unlike Taco
    - Better interior design (IMHO)

    Pros for Taco
    - Manual Transmission (BIG plus for me)
    - Reliability

Basically, if the Canyon had a V6 manual trans, I would just pull the trigger on it. As it is, I will test drive both and see which wins me over. No matter how much time I spend online, a test drive almost always makes it immediately obvious what vehicle I really like.

I think ill pull the trigger on a DCLB Limited, especially if they have it in that sand colour!

I'll be buying the same thing. I'm so stoked they didn't discontinue the manual transmission as was rumored. The Colorado only offers a 6 speed with the 4 cyl and 2WD. Thanks, Toyota!:woot:

Probably have the same shitty throw out bearing that people have been having problems with since again 2005.

New guy here. I'm thinking about selling my 2012 Raptor and buying a 2016 DCSB TRD Off Road. Do you think I need my head examined?

I go off road quite a bit with my wife, baby girl, and dog. The Raptor will go anywhere it will fit, but that's just it. There are a lot of tight trails here in the NE where the Raptor is too wide to fit. I haven't had the need to tow more than 5k pounds with the Raptor, so I'm thinking the new Tacoma might be a better fit for me.

    Edit to add:
I've wanted a Tacoma for many years. I almost bought a new one back in 2007, but I bought a Titan instead. I regretted not getting a Tacoma afterward, but when the quad cab Raptor was released, I talked myself into trading up for one of those.

I'd like a 2016 TRD off road access cab with a 6spd manual and hopefully a sunroof. Can't wait to test drive one.

I definately want to learn more about the 2016 Tacoma before selling my Raptor. However, the 2016 is pretty similar to the 2015 with obviously cosmetic and drivetrain changes. If a 2016 Tacoma a lifted Camry, how the 2015 is not the same?

Copy. I have a 6.2L V8 right now. Either the 4.0L or the new 3.5L would be an adjustment for me, but the only V6 I ever had that I didn't like was a 3.8L minivan engine in a Jeep Wrangler.

Maybe I should drive one before I decide for sure.

Dealership has offered me first allocation slot. We'll start "building" in May so it can the first thing they put an order in for. I'm thinking that blue Limited, DCSB, but 2wd to keep costs and price a little lower. The most off-roading I do is getting to/from state parks, and my current cars can go everywhere.

The Tacoma can go anywhere a Corolla can go, but at least now I can take all my fishing gear with me.

You like the interior of the Canyon? We have a couple at our dealership and it just looks bland to me. Only interesting thing is the radio screen.

You can get the manual 6-speed with the access cab. The Double Cabs only come automatic with the Canyon, according to the GMC dealer I'm now ignoring.

GMs new cars are getting cheaper and cheaper by the year.

    I'll have a 2016, probably in like 2026
