I want power seat. I don't need memory seat. You have more settings in power seats. When I wear sneakers I adjust the seat at different position comparing to wearing dress shoes or sandals. Not a deal breaker but it would be nice.

Wow...that is disappointing. Seats probably aren't heated either.

That won't discourage me from buying one.

I do not plan on letting anyone else drive my '16 Taco, so adjustments should be minimal. :)

We don't know all the details yet maybe this pre-production model just doesn't have them but the production model will....... Maybe.

THat is what you get with power seats.

Having back problems and bum knee I need a seat I can change the angle of and move the front up or down and also the back.

Having power seats in most all cases fixes this.

But What does Toyota know they are not looking at what people want or need only the CHEAPEST way out to sell a product and not back it as they should.

Game over Toyota Can't spend more money on them when there are others out there that offer so much more and what people want and need.

But we should have seen this coming with them just redoing the outside fenders front and rear bumpers and calling it all new what should we think....

They would have had to change the cab to get power seats and keep up with the others that are out there.

And it's not like they don't have the technology. My wife's Lexus has the seat roll back and the steering wheel go up when you turn the car off. Sure, not at all necessary, but pretty damn cool... and convenient.

That said, I had the same features in my Infiniti and turned them off. haha

I'm sure if the Tacoma had a $45,000 price tag you all could have all the little trinkets a Lexas has. Nice to have all that junk when your out climbing muddy hills or hauling fire wood.

No need to worry with that.....

With out a bunch of mods you really can't take it in any muddy hills or haul fire wood.

Per several meetings with toyota they are not made for that.
I had bags of feed in the back and hitting the bump stops.......
Said it was overloaded with 4 bags at 50 to 60 lbs in the back....

The 2015 Limited was close to $38k and didn't have a trip computer, power seats, or a temperature gauge.

The new one will be close to or more than $40k for sure.

I wish one of the interviews done with the head designer Sweers asked the question about height adjustment for the seats.

It seems like it was a common problem among 2nd gen owners, and is a mainstream option. I am curious to see why the didn't include it.

It probably doesn't cost any more to equip a seat with a height adjustment, so I think it is more likely because of a lack of headroom, or some safety BS reason they chose to leave it out.

I think they are figuring out that people looking at a midsize don't always cross shop a fullsize, so the pricing can be similar. I for one would never buy a fullsize unless it was cheaper than a midsize. Midsize fits my lifestyle better.

I just don't see a TRD sport or offroad costing $40,000. Obviously a limited will be more.

I'm certainly not fat or lazy and I appreciate the feature. My wife is 118 and I am 190. I'm not really old either, 45, but I bet older people appreciate it too.

I think the point is offering features people want and expect for a certain price point.
