I'm not sure if this has been said already... I'm sure it has.

    Cons:
    - Power seats are just 1 more thing to go wrong. Especially if you're ever using the vehicle offroad (potential for water).
    - They add a ton of weight per seat.
    - They take longer to move... (actually a big deal if you need to slide an AC seat up all the way to get something in)

I'm not so lazy that I can't reach down and slide the seat on my own.
Most people do it VERY rarely... Only immediately after someone else drives my vehicle.

Ok, now I feel bad for being facetious. Well, maybe a little.

I can imagine how that would suck, and not something we experience in south Texas at all. RainX?

    1. Toyota power seats are extremely reliable. No power seat Toyota/Lexus in my entire family has had one issue with them. This excuse is lame and overused.

    2. OK, so if it adds weight it's not needed? They shouldn't add airbags then because they add weight too.

    3. As stated in an earlier post my 94 Supra has power seat and the seat flips forward with a pull of the lever and snaps right back into the same position.

Most people want power seats as an OPTION. Meaning if they want their new truck to have it, they order it optional. If you want to drive your new truck in waist deep water fine, dont get the Limited model truck. I just saw an 85+ year old man drive by on a new Taco, I bet he would have ordered power seat if it was available dont you think? Or does he not need it because you don't?

Not only not power, but still only 4-way adjustable. The number one reason I got rid of my Tacoma was seat comfort, I think being able to adjust elevation would make a huge difference. My '04 4runner had elevation adjustment without power.

Not about being fat/lazy it's about growing up an athlete and having bad knees that kill me on long drives if I can't get the correct angle, and I make long drives daily. I like to sit a little higher on longer drives.

A fat person would slide the seat all the way back and set the tilt and then never touch it again.

no power seats mean no memory seats :( I hate having to re-adjust my seats when i move it. This is 2016 and it should be standard… same with auto-down on ALL windows lol.

What's with this shit? It sounds to me like a bunch of people are trying to boast how manly they are by saying they don't appreciate technology or comfort.

You guys are like the moron kid at the bus stop wearing a t-shirt during a blizzard. You all know god damn well that you don't use your trucks as strictly utilitarian vehicles, it's 2016 - certain things should be standard.

This crap is probably part of Toyota's master plan - following years will include little things you felt cheated on bit by bit, until it's on par with vehicles from the last decade - and the process repeats. 10 years at a time.

It is almost shocking, realizing how much has changed from the concepts of - let's say....my '84 SR5 4WD Reg. Cab or even my '87 SR5 4WD Ext. Cab Toyotas. To listen to some of the pros and cons of all the junk they've put in our vehicles the last twenty-fiven years or so...it's almost comical.

Power seats, power rear sliding window, automatic, power/heated mirrors and my...a friggin' supercharger?

    We are spoiled brats.

Or like the 4runner, all 5 are auto up and down. Auto up is awesome.

After looking at pictures & such again....

I find the 'tan seats' and 'tan accents' to be a little strange in the Limited. It just doesn't look right. Almost like...we're not seeing the actual seats. They threw those in there to throw us off.

    ??

The Limited model appears to have everything else. If it doesn't actually have power seats...I'd be extremely shocked.

Why even worry now about it....

You guys are bitching about a product that is not even in production yet and a lot could change.

Even if they don't do it who gives a rats ass.... be a man and reach between your legs and adjust the seat just like they have for the last 30 years......

As long as they don't change the TRD seats too much I'll be happy as the current ones fit me almost perfectly. I can also understand how many people would love and pay a premium for power seats with more adjustments. My wife's car recognizes my key fob when I open the driver's door and the seat automatically adjusts to my memory setting by the time I've sat down, it's a fantastic feature that I would love to see replicated in the Tacoma.

I think more people are upset by the lack of adjustment (height) not just the power option.

When I reach between my legs to adjust something it's not my seats. If I pay 35k for a truck I better not have to reach between them.

A guy I work with has that issue. He thought it was his prostate - turned out that he caught the clap. At 62. There's some whores on OurTime.com, don't be fooled. You oughta get checked too. ;)

Those of us that live where temperatures are uaually below freezing 7+ months of the year may disagree. Heated mirrors are for safety!! Pretty hard to change lanes when you can't see what's beside or behind you. Scraping before you go does no good as they frost up as soon as you start driving and scraping while you're moving doen't work. Neither does unwarranted name calling.

Got to remember they build these trucks based on what most people need and want...
It may not fit the bill for yours needs and there may be other trucks more to your likings and needs.

Interesting concept , so you don't think it freezes in winter in all of Canada and most of the US ?
