Jeep has been talking for years about building a truck and it sounds like there may be one in the works but a few years out.
And was reading today that GM wants to build a Jeep fighter to go after some of the sales in that market.
It has a hand with Jeep selling more than 175k units of there Wrangler platforms.
Ford claims to have sold more Raptors than the full Titan line up.

Looks like there may be a market for the higher end off road units.

My guess is the Jeep Truck would have lockers and solid axles like the wrangler platform.

GM was looking for something to be in the market with the loss of the hummer line...

    Thoughts?
May help Toyota fans with them building a truer off road rig with lockers F&R or other items wanted. Or could cut into the sales of the Taco...

I would look at a Wrangler truck if they had one.
But also hope Toyota would step up for more off road and heavy duty.

They make a jeep conversion truck already. And it costs about $70,000. So, nope.

They, Jeep, does not make them. It is a off road place that makes the.

If I remember or at least the few I have seen.
one had a Cummins and the other a big V8 and both had high pinion dana 60 axles.

I'd consider it ... if I had a spare 80K, I'd want one of these now:

This! Had a jeep (grand cherokee) before my taco and it was garbage...dumped $4k into it the year prior to getting rid of it in maintenance repairs that shouldn't have happened and it had less than 80k miles on it. Doubt I'll purchase another Chrysler product...or whatever they are now...FCA?

No one is going to be clamoring to buy a CONVERSION. It needs to be a from the factory option for it to be reasonable, unlike the AEV Brute kit.

I'm definitely in the boat of people who would consider one. I probably wouldn't have bought my 2013 if I knew there was a Jeep truck. If I knew for sure there was a Rubicon DCSB truck I would go for that every time. I'd much rather have a D44 front and rear with lockers than a TRD OffRoad

Funny most Jeep sites say the same about the Taco.

I have found both to be wrong.

Fan boys from both sides, they both have their issues. I drive an F150 too, and I get ragged on all the time but it's probably the best vehicle I've owned

    That was my point.
There are talks of an in house Jeep truck and not sub out to build like the Brute.

When I was growing up a neighbor had a Jeep pickup like this one.

If somehow Jeep is acquired by another auto manufacturer, I might look forward to a Jeep pickup coming out. As it stands now, there is a Jeep that is literally a Fiat. Fiat, isn't exactly known for its outstanding reliability.

Revitalizing the Jeep Camanche would be cool to see. The more competition, the better.

Me either really ... but if I had a "spare 80K" ... money would probably not be much of an issue.

Sadly, it ain't happenin' in this lifetime. ;)
