Okay...it's been six hours. Obviously I was too stern in my earlier remonstrations. I apologize.

Oh denizens of Cowboysville, can you please see to it to attend the Dallas Auto Show and hork some tasty new details about our beloved (or reviled) 2016 Tacoma?

    Pretty pretty please with gumdrops?

You're so much cooler than Houston.

    Thank you.

I already have plans to see it tonight! Looks like it's on a spinning platform so I won't be able to get IN it but I'll take some great pictures!

Hmmmm....I might could fab something up. Not sure if it will be worth it though.

Any particular pictures y'all want me to get? I'm pretty sure it will be on a spinning stand about 3ft high so interior pictures won't be much of an option but I can likely get just about everything exterior.

Looks better each time I see it! Even though only two prototypes have been made so far.

Just for fun, as them if a V8 or a diesel will be an option. I am sure they have carefully prepped answers for those lol.

My brethren....I have failed. I intended to bring my Nikon camera and totally forgot it. The camera on my phone is quite shitty too so it wasn't much use to me.

The only things I can tell you is that from 4ft away (since it was roped off) it is pretty much the exact same truck with a different front. I was able to confirm the body is virtually identical in every single way. I'd even go as far as to say you could remove the entire interior from the 2016 and install it in a 2005. The areas where the rear seats bolt up, the under seat cargo bin, etc...every thing was the same. One thing that was different (and worse) was the front bumper. It has some sort of odd protrusion sticking out a good 4" from the bumper itself. Seems like they left a LOT on the table with regards to approach angle. I'm thinking it's worse than the 2nd gen.

I got the same song and dance from the Toyota rep that we've all heard before. The engine specs haven't been released but we're expecting better fuel economy blah blah. Unless it gets 5mpg+ better than the current engine it will be hard for me to stay loyal to Toyota.

I went and saw it. It reaffirmed my belief that it's face got beat with a shovel. It doesn't really look much different than the 2nd to me.

    I bought a 15 4x4 TSS DCSB last week.

I did get to see a Pagani and a AM 77 and sit in a bunch of expensive leather. Good time.
