I get 24mph when I drive halfway smart; get off the gas to slow down, use merge lanes to the max, and watch takeoffs from stoplights. Try to hold it around 70 +-5 mph on the open road. I pay attention to the ecomode on my gps. Above 75... mph goes down fast. I haven't run with ac much yet, so I don't have a take on that. I am mostly hauling myself on the commute.

I have had the truck since October, and have put 10k of driving on it. It is strictly stock, and I run regular gas.

The auto is not sluggish in the 2.7's....go test drive one....and do not listen to the inbred's that declare it a bad tranny.

V6 auto guy's....yes it WILL search more....just depends on the type of driving.....keep shorts un-bunched.

Well I did go test drive both. The auto the other day, and the 5-speed a month ago. I felt it was a BIT sluggish, but thats me coming right from a 2008 civic SI 6-speed. Loved the truck to be honest. Im just trying to debate and think about what I will want in a couple years. You know how you ALWAYS think back and wish you made a different move when you get into a hobby. Always happens to me when I learn more about it. Thats why Im not jumping in right now
