    Matic ,
I just did my deck plate mod before I read your excellent write up.

I did add 1/4" hardware cloth over the two opening to keep the mice out.

Also I added a few more larger drain holes in the bottom of the filter box.

    Awesome. Glad I could help.
I did notice a bit of difference after I disconnected the neg battery cable and reset the ECU. It was drizzling here for a while and dried up so I took it for a spin.
It feels like now that I do feel a bit more power than before. Not huge by any means but there is a steep slope coming out of my addition that usually bogs my truck. Seems like it took it a lil better tonight.
Could be the temps are really cool compared to the mid 90's we have been having or the fact that I put a full time locker in last weekend and am getting more traction.
If you havn't reset the ECU, drive your truck for a bit like it is.......then disconnect the Neg Bat Terminal for 5 mins or so. Hook it back up and go for a spin and tell me what you think.

Crank up the chain saw and a few brews you will be good to go.

Seriously, If you could just strip off the bs at beginning of your post, say start at page 3, and make it a sticky, then we could have a good example to refer people to regarding the deck plate mod.

I've already referred one person to it.

Maybe a placebo but it did feel stronger. For sure there is a little more sound.

I have a SGII and the intake air temp reading is lower. Maybe the air was being heated more by the under the fender duct work?

I would have thought the temps to be a littler higher. There's really no place that I can see where it is drawing any cool air in. I may work on some intake plumbing after I wake up a bit this morning.
    Did you reset your ECU?

No reset of the ECU yet.
I should have added that the intake air temp is lower when I am moving because there is cooler air coming in the grill.

Leftovers from a friend that was over during the week. I finished my coronas and that's all that was left in the fridge.
Sorry about that. Did I break a "guy" rule. lol

I'm going back out in the garage in a bit to see if I can use the stock plastic piece that ran into the fender well as some sort of ram air or to pull cool air from outside. There are 2 lil black pieces on the grill that I am thinking about cutting out and using 1 for an intake.

    Matic,
You run the Dragon on your sport bike? I run it with my XT225 or CT70 clone.
I'm about 20 minutes from Deal's Gap and the Cherohala.

Nope. Never got there before it was stolen. I rode with 5 guys from work for a while and we planned on getting up that way but unfortunately, I never made it.

    I don't see why not.
I would suggest the 4in deck plate. I got mine from "Academy" sporting goods store. You can find em at your local boat store.

If you have the deck plate, it only takes like an hour.
