well. honestly, i mean that new truck's value will diminish as soon as you drive it off the Lot. Best bet would be to Get your truck paid off. Sell it. then take the money and go put it down for that new truck. Or you could always just trade it in.

If you really want it, and can afford it, go for it!

I would seriously consider the loss that you will acquire by doing so. Even though these trucks have good resale, you will take a big hit no mater what you do.

Put a locker in the back of that sucker and you'll keep up with almost everyone. Just know what you can and cannot do... I like your truck BTW, that red with the wheels is very slick.

well my truck is already paid for so i figured it would be ok because i wouldn't be rolling any current debt into the new truck. do you think it would be better to sell it like on craigslist or something? or sell it to a dealer?

I would think you should be able to! Although I'm not sure of how many miles you have on that beast. You seem to really want the 4x4, and if you are in the position to do so without rolling into alot of unneeded debt, I would go for it. There is no need having something you are unhappy with or just not 100% satisfied, when its probably the second largest purchase you will ever make next to a house.

As for the price I couldn't what you'll get, I have not kept up with the resale values very closely for your year and model. Although in my past experiences, you will catch more for it in its stock condition than w/ your added parts, i.e. wheels, susp., etc..

yeah i REALLY want the 4x4 so i can keep up with everyone else on the trails. i've still got my stock wheels and i'm looking for some stock SR5 coilovers to replace mine with. oh and i just rolled over 21,000 miles. i'm going this tuesday to see what i can get for it at the chevy dealer. my Dad and i work there and they usually hook us up. but i'm also going to check with the toyota dealer. the truck i want is in Mobile, Alabama which is like 107 miles from Destin. will my local dealer be able to get it delivered here?

thanks for the help and advice everyone!

hey bro...... your truck will sell for over 12 grand EASY. my advice would be to sell it on Autotrader, Craigslist, or any other source. your Local Paper might not be a bad idea either. My experiences.........i have always sold my cars by selling it myself. I would never ever just hand over my truck to a dealership. they will rob you of your money. sell it from around 10,000$- 14,000$

Those wheels do look good though. They do suit the look and color. They must have had a set of 4runner rims and threw em on instead of the stockers I guess?

dude that reg cab MGM is sick, i would def make the trade. i love reg cab trucks but i went with an AC for the storage (def not for putting passengers) in the back seat area. IMO the DC doesnt even look like a truck.

Yea, its just a cheap ass spacer lift. I had the same kit on my 98 reg cab for 10 years and it had damn near 200,000 thousand miles on it, so I figured I would go back to the same kit,
