difference between 2.4 and 2.7

    5lug = 2.4L
    6lug = 2.7L

    Eibach height adjust shocks in front, KYB monomax shocks in the back. Stock springs front and back. Level 8 MK6 10mm offset wheels on Cooper ATP tires (stock size)
    2rz > 3rz

    they take more boost without exploding.

    Really? My '07 and '09 2.7 equiped Tacomas both had/have 5 lugs :D

    Anyone have the scheduled maintenance guide for the 2.4L. Brother got a a 2.4 and has no idea what needs to be changed out when. Simillar to 2010 2.7 scheduled maintenance?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Correct, but the 2.4 was only offered in the First gen 5 lugs.

    I thought that the 2.7 was 4x4 only and 2.4 was 4x2 only on the 1st gens? Maybe I'm wrong.

    No thats correct. Dont call them 2.4 and 2.7 because 05+ is 2.7 as well.

    2.4 = 2rz
    2.7 = 3rz

    05+ = gaytr

    What’s the difference between a 2003 2.7 header/manifold and a 2003 2.4 header/manifold? Like bolt locations and will either fit... mine leaks from the flange on the bottom and I wanted a aftermarket one but it’s only for a 2.4 not a 2.7 and I’m pretty sure I have a 2.7..

    I did the math and came up with 2.7-2.4=0.3 liters as the difference. :rolleyes:

    All 2nd gen 4x4 have 6 lugs regardless of engine.
