Is this the oil drain plug?.. lol

Ok... so I never thought I'd be asking this... but is this the oil drain plug?


It seemed pretty obvious... but when I came on here looking for some info on the oil filter, I stumbled across a ton of threads with people who drained their tranny fluid. Figured I should be better safe than sorry and double check.

I have a 5 speed, 4 cylinder. Not sure if the tranny fluid drain plug issue would apply to me as I don't see a big square pan like some people have shown. This pan is basically right next to where the oil filter is hanging down.

Better to ask a dumb question than actually doing something dumb I suppose lol.

I've owned four vehicles, and I've never seen one where the oil pan wasn't black. Just got under my 5-speed, and if that isn't the oil pan, I couldn't find where it is hahaha. Also, there is an opening in the skid there, which should be for easy access to drain the oil.

On a side note, I've never done my own oil change on this vehicle, but have on others in the past. Also, I noticed the shop where I get my oil changed dates their filters, and mine is the same date as my last change. Bravo to them for being on the up and up.
