30mpg's!! I4 Auto

Trip from Oakland to Visalia and back!! 555 miles, 18.5 gallons, so ~30mpgs. 65 pretty much all the way.

it seems from his post that he had removed the secondary air filter, replaced the stock filter with a less restrictive filter, and then added and exhuast mod of some sort (high flow muffler from flowmaster).

i've got a bone stock 09 reg cab plain jane 4cyl manual shift, my first tank in suburban driving averaged 28mpg,have had it on a few road trips to ohio, ky, iowa, and consistantly get between 28 and 31 depending on which way the wind is blowin. and i've got a lead foot (lol) is there something unusal about this , it seems everybody i've talked to gets much poorer mpg

A trip with my Access Cab 2008 form Orange Copunty to Las Vegas round trip average 30.4mpg. Same: between 55 to 60 MPH
