Ok, so ive read up on the forum, but i thought id try to get some reg cab feedback. ive got a '10 4x4 reg cab and just ordered some 5100's. i wanna set them at 2.5 but there are some guys out there that swear you need aftermarket UCA's. Ive also heard you only need aftermarket UCA's if you're goin 3". What do y'all think?? Thanks

I'm pretty clueless regarding lifts, but am just now starting to look into them. I read from more experienced members that you don't need UCA's for lifts under 3".

It's hit or miss at 2.5". Some need new UCA's some don't.

Or see how close they can get the alignment without them, keeping in mind that you might have to pony up and buy them.

Why would you spend (at minimum) $400+, for something you likely don't need?

Most people get them for alignment reasons, not offroad capability.

If ur alignment is jacked up your tires will also be jacked up So if ur gonna drop $$ on nice tires get a good alignment and if it's all good don't waste ur money on uca's

My .02 is that everything should be properly done

So you install the lift, get it aligned, and if the alignment is out of spec, get new uca's....

Mine is set to .85 and I swear I still see my wheels angled. Thats after 2 alignments. They guy at NTB told me I might need an aftermarket kit to get realigned.

the adjustable ones, or the 1.6" eibachs?

If you go over 2.5, you will likely need new UCA's.
