I need to figure out my lights, my horn, re-do my wheels, and do me suspension work...if I get all that stuff done before August...I'll be shocked.

Ya you had the relentless bumper sticker correct? I saw your truck! I saw it from a distance otherwise I would have said hi.

What did they hook you up with for volunteering, I almost did but had to leave around noon to get back home for work.

In another thread I remember a guy saying he got around 18 with 33's and 4.88's IIRC. Do you do more city or highway?

Hey Oliver, where did you get your regear kit at? From the sound of your feedback it seems like the perfect way to go. Hills have gotten better, but far from just laying into 5th. I want to get that done before I come home, so I don't have to waste too much time installing the pile of parts I have waiting. Thanks dude.

Update:

Did my usual drive to school and during the trip I decided to do a trip calculation. Pictured are the results:

After corrections for over gearing:
MPG trip- 26.5 mpg
Distance- 16.3

This was almost exactly 50/50 driving city/highway. I will also post a long term later when its well longer.

After the drive back home for the day.

Going 65 mph on the freeway. So the driving for the trip information shown in the picture above in this post would be about 67% highway 33% city.

So for the day:
MPG- 26.23

I wont be doing this everyday lol so I just wanted to show you guys what I got today around town in my normalish driving. Before re-gear I got about 24.7 driving the same route. Maybe the winds were with me today helping me out, but so far I am extremely happy with the overall results.

We should race! I will race to ontario and you race here to phoenix. We will leave at the same time and see who wins haha

I realize that has nothing to do with anything. We could just do a dyno run and compare values off that!

Gears: 150-225
Install kit: 200
Labor: 300-350
OTD ~ $650

Or you can get a CAI 250, headers 350 and then you are already at the price of a re-gear. Best thing is with the re-gear you do not get the damn annoying freaking exhaust sound, mines starting to really bug the shit outta me.

If your on the trail daily talk to ryber about his 4.88. I would have loved to go that route but do a lot of long trips and freeway driving. Also trust me when I say do not waste your money on CAI and cat back exhausts. I think the ideal 4 hanger is 4.56 with 33's, header upgrade, AFE pro dry s with secondary removed! That's all you really need to make a great fun dependable daily driver.
