No need to run anything higher than 87 in the 4 banger. Running anything higher is a waste of money and dumb. The 4 banger will drive better with 87.

Welcome and nice truck. 11 is also the first year for the access cab 4x4 2.7L auto here in Canada. I got mine as soon as I found out. I find the 2.7 to be plenty of motor for my needs. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

^I got a red one sitting outside.

    To OP,
I think you got a good deal. I got mine for $25k flat out the door. Mine came with aftermarket alloy wheels, other than that and the color, we have the same vehicle! However, I only have to finance $24k because I finished school and made mama proud (college grad $1k discount).

Keep in touch and let's help each other :D

So far I've racked up about 1600 miles on the truck. Runs like a champ. After breaking her in for 1500 miles I recently drop a 1500lb payload. The truck did fine. I got her up to 65 with ease. Pics below. Now my master bedroom looks great! I love having a truck :D
[edit:] The truck is a 6 lug. I thought it was a 5 lug until I drove it to jacksonville and my buddy pointed it out that it had six lol.

A: you're wasting your money putting premium in a 2.7. that engine is built to run on 87 octane. says so right in the owners manual. also, i'm now moving to florida, since apparently gas is a whole $1.00 cheaper than CA ($4.29 for 87)

I got the 2.7 in a DC..... I took it back the next day and switched to the 4.0 I was lucky and they had no problem with it. It had no power!!! It had the same engine as my wifes scion tc. It wasn't too bad though I just wanted more power. 2011 is still 3 leaf pack I just looked at that today. Gotta get the tsb done.... Its like a free lift haha.

No the truck wasn't on Bump stops. I still had travel in the rear. Pretty sure it was 1500 lbs. I bought 45 packages of flooring and on the box of each package, it provides the weight at 31.30 lbs.

    45 x 31.30 = 1,408
Have to factor in the weight of the pallete and the weight of little old me, 210 lbs.

If some of you guys haven't noticed, the Pay loads are the same of the 2.7 DC and 4.0 DC. There's a 5lb difference. I really think it's based more on suspension setup and braking rather then power.
