Question about A/T
I have an '07 2.7 Auto regular cab. Sometimes when climbing hills behind slower traffic and the engine hits a certain RPM the transmission will shutter like it is hunting between 3d and 4th gear. Does it put any undue stress on the transmission to just reach over and bump the shifter from D into 3d? I assume the way the shifter is gated it was designed to do that , but I wanted to check and make sure.

I would think that it would be fine. Just keep an eye on your rpms. I have the 5spd auto and when going up steep hills I just take it out of overdrive. Having the transmission constantly shifting in and out of 4th and od will generate extra heat.
Welcome to TW.
