    Thats exactly why we gotta hit that 400 mark... soon! Winter approaching and down hill our mileage will go. And on top of that I'm getting a 3" lift and 32" tires so there is no way i'll ever get close again! ha

    Won't 1500 be a bit low to shift... I mean that bogging down feeling is bound to cause in-efficiencies.

    It would seem that if i'm to improve my FE I need to accelerate more slowly from stops...

    I routinely get 22 mpg and I have a 4x4. My best occurred last week when i got 24.8 mpg. I have not yet removed the secondary airfilter and everything is stock on it. I commute 50-75 miles a day and cruise at 60 mph simply because I am trying to save money and the commute time is not important. I also engage the 4wd nearly everyday on my way home for .5 mile on my street (which is straight) to keep the 4x4 parts lubricated (per manual). The gas station i have been filling up at lately is using 10% ethanol in their gas. Hope this helps.

    More open throttle at low rpm is actually more efficient, and still slow acceleration. Keep the rpms down.

    I was invited so I'll play. Since adding my 32s best tank I recorded was like 18.5 the header helped too. Haven't clocked a tank lately I'll have to fill up soon and will get back to you guys.

    Whats up Greeny. Are you going to do a re-gear after you get your LT all taken care of?

    Sup lol. Yes i was planning on running 4.56's but we'll see what tire size i end up with when its done might wanna get some 37's:eek: and i want to do the regear at the same time as a locker so i only have to pull the clamshell once.

    At least one tank with Stock gears and 37s! See how bad the MPGs are, then swap gears and see the improvement.

    Going to be hitting the gas light today, it's very close. Probably come on within the next 10 miles I drive.

    2.7 and 37's on 3.31 gears...I don't think that tank would be very much fun hahaha.

    360x1.05 = 378 miles.

    This is about normal for me. I just do so much of my driving in town.

    Did fill up as well, went 388 total miles on a little more than 17 gallons. The MPG average came out to 22.3 MPG.

    Trying to get any kind of good numbers from like 0-30 is almost impossible without just crawling.

    I try to get up to 30 as quickly as possible, not racing or anything like that, then let off the pedal pretty good. Above 30 it's easy to accelerate and maintain 25+ IMPG numbers.

    I've never driven an automatic Toyota (aside from a test drive) so I can't say for certain how it behaves. But I know with my F150, I can get up to speed pretty quick, and then let off the throttle for a second...this causes the tranny to upshift a gear and I can cruise at much lower RPM's.

    I have 4.10 gears, but either way gas would suck and I don't think my clutch would like it.
