So my Monday blues have rolled into Tuesday... Off to work bright and early and I get into a busy section of Rt. 30 in Lancaster PA and I'm waiting in line at a yield area. The guy in front of me lets off the brakes, I see his lights go out and start to move. I look to the left for oncoming traffic, and a cop rolls past, look quick right and a left and on the gas i go and WHAM! Guy in front of me never really went anywhere... I saw the cop go past but totally missed the Malibu in front of me. If his car was a snake, it should have bit me in the kisser. As you can see, the damage to my truck vs, his is night and day. So I wanted to share with you my fantastic Tuesday morning and send thanks to the engineer somewhere who designed a pretty decent truck. I'm really surprised the little bit of damage. Maybe this will be the time to upgrade the grill area? Any ideas?

Yeah... maybe 5-10mph, just starting off to merge into traffic. Felt bad for the guy, said he has only had the car like a month or so. :frusty:

That EXACT same thing happened to me a couple of years back in my 85 4runner. I was mad at myself and the silly lady in front of me who stopped when it was clear to go....... still my fault.

Sorry to hear but glad the damage is not more severe.

Thanks, I'm glad there wasn't more damage. The body shop estimate is around a grand. Really not looking forward to shelling out cash right now.

Wow. You did knock the crap out of that car. Sorry it happened but glad everyone is ok.

Look on the bright side. You can figure out what parts are needed now to put a 2012 front on an earlier model. :anonymous:

Didn't think about that... Looks like a lot has changed from '10 to '12. I can see the bumper cover fitting, but not sure about the grille or lights. That would be a neat project though. I'll have to visit the local dealer and see if the 2 years are interchangeable. Got me thinking now...
