Installed a cold air intake on my 02 2.7. There's a vacuum hose that went into the airbox across the radiator shroud into a little piece on the driver fender. I just unhooked it from airbox and left hose open and dangling by windshield washer jug. Now I'm getting a check engine light. What does it do and how can I fix?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You need to find a way to hook that hose back up to the vacuum system close to where it originally was.

    What intake was it? Model?

Just a homemade one pieced together. Basically a adapter that fits into end of MAF and a cone filter.

Yes, it supplies vacuum. I'd suggest going back to stock until you get the right CAI or fix the existing one

it is the purge for the vapor vent system
    it shouldnt throw a code

you should buy a simple code reader to find out what the code is. Autozone $60 , also allows you to clear the code

my bet would be that there is a code for the MAF

I would just cut my losses and hook it back up to stock intake , there is no advantage to derestricting the stock air filter
