Hey guys ... Picking up my RC 4x4 the end of this month. Decided to go with Super White instead of MGM (Hour, you sold me on the SW). Wanted to ask, will 5100's set at 1.75 level it out? Planning on 5100's all around. I'm not going to run a shell, like my '03. Also, putting my 265/75 R16 BFG AT KO's on the '13. Anyone see any issues that I may run into. Thanks for the input.

Debadged, took off front mud flaps, prevent tailgate theft mod, Magnaflow 18" muffler, Bilstein 5100s front and rear w/ front @1.75, wet okoles, plasi dipped front emblem, weathertechs, scangauge, toolbox, Bed pocket lights, BHLM, T1 eyelids, BAMF sliders, Bruteforce Fab rear bumper
I have the 5100s at 1.75 with the 265/75/16 BFG AT. I think its perfectly level. Check out some pictures on my build thread if you want. And on a side note, the only other color that I like besides the MGM is SW!

Eric, I appreciate your response. I like the mods and that set up you are running. Looks really good. Oh, and I kept waffling beteeen the MGM and SW, Haha. Thanks again.

Also, is there any need to instal a differential drop with 5100's set at 1.75?

Does anyone running 5100's at 1.75 have any noticeable vibrations or any other problems? Just looking long term, and don't want to sacrifice performance for looks. Thanks

Update: This will be on a '13 RC 4x4

The header was probably the biggest gain. Are you running a stock exhaust?

I was wondering if I delete the silencer on my intake, will I still pass smog?

Yeah I think with a more open exhaust like kind I will see little to no gain. The stock, once you remove the second cat, flows a lot better then I thought. I'm probably going to put a resonator on mine to get a little more bottom and back and hush her down

If it's on the checklist, you won't pass without it.
Beyond that, it depends on who is doing the testing. Most techs just go down the checklist, and as long as there's no aftermarket or the aftermarket has an EO number, they'll pass it if it sniffs clean.

Some take themselves too seriously and will follow federal law to the letter which states that it is unlawful to perform any modifications that increase the emissions OR SOUND level of any intake or exhaust system.

I'll find out in a year if the secondary filter on my 2.7 is on the checklist.

Had the console out to complete cb wiring so I decided to take it further while console out and install the urd short shifter that has been hangin around since before getting rid of the 05. Glad about the procrastination so it ended up on the 08 instead. Love the difference.

I am thinking about trading my 2012 MT in for a 2013 AT with buckets,

Anyone heard if 2014 for the RC should be worth waiting for???

Thanks and Long Live the RC!

I like the red in the Reg Cab, looks great!

With the black plastic flares and bumpers, some tint and set of dark wheels look even better.

In the 2014 tacoma thread one user talked to a dealership extensively about color options being unavailable for 2013 tacoma (no longer making '13s in spruce mica or whatever) and claimed to review some paperwork on the 2014 tacoma that didn't indicate anything major in terms of styling and definitely not engines.

I'm not sure how he concluded all of this without any of the information being public, but that thread would be the best one to keep up with if you're curious about '14 changes.

I'm not holding my breath, but DAMN I really hope that if they DO change the 2.7 for '14, such as dual vvt or whatever.. that it's a swappable thing. I'm sure there'd be some catch though. I'd be all over a swap <$3000 to acheive #s of similar displacement dual vvt motors.. while some would say at that point just do supercharger, I'd be happy to keep it OEM.

4runners with identical gas mileage from 4.0L producing 270ishhp/tq are just too damn tempting.

    Hmmm,

I may just keep the ole 2012 MT 4x4, lol...My recent center console makes things more liveable,

Wonder if the touch sterio is worth it in the 2013, Lord knows I could use the Bluetooth...

I am waiting for a call back from two dealers now, they both would have to find the RC I am looking for, :-(

Mine came with a touchscreen. The Bluetooth works good, but the stock stereo sucks. I can remember my mom buying a 1992 Ford Escort with a better sounding stock radio.lol. Oh well, I bought the base model with plans on putting my own stereo in anyway.
