350 miles + 35 for tire difference /17 gallons = ~22mpg! Never went above 60mph and averaged 50mph the whole trip. 4cyl FTMFW

Yep definitely sucks. I was really worried about 35's and stock gears but Texas is flat and calm as can be so I cruise 50mph around 1700rpm. Takes a little longer to get places but easier on the wallet and engine.

I pull 310 miles to a tank with a mix of highway (65-75 mph) and city (45-50) on 33's and 4.56's. I feel like it could do better.

Got the 7089s mounted thursday. It's rained since and all I have is an iPhone so this is the best shot I could get.

I like em. Definitely happy with the purchase.

Anybody seen the new 2015 canyon? It's a really nice truck!! I'm getting worried that toyota isn't going to update the tacoma to be as good as the new canyon. How can you beat a midsize truck with a great ride and low road noise. I hope toyota really steps it up for 2015. Otherwise, I think the tacoma will see a major drop in sales. Sorry for the ranting, just was shaken up by how nice the canyon is. Tacomas as they sit now are low Mpg, rough riding, loud cabin trucks. Let's face it!! No offense, I own one too.

Toyota will update the tacoma. Not sure why people even worry about this. Be happy with what you have and if you dont just trade it in.
^ pretty much this. If I wanted fancy interiors and cloud suspensions and 300hp I would've got something with at least power windows lol.

I love my little POS truck and all it's noises and crank windows and manual locks

Agreed. I love this little truck, and love the fact that it doesn't have all of the fancy extra crap that just cost more money. I like to tell some of the guys that I work with, who have full size trucks with all of the bells and whistles, to have a gander at a real mans truck. No power windows or door locks, no power seats or heated seats, no navigation, just four wheel drive and a bed. What a pick up truck is suppose to be. The undeniable reliability should speak for itself. If that is not enough, take it on the trail with some of the big guys and see who gets stuck more. Ive seen these things pull out 2500hds before. ha ha.
