Its not easy for a basic guy that knows auto mechanics. Im currently doing the same swap and we had to cut off motor mounts and reweld new ones in place. You pretty much need the whole 3.4 donor vehicle to take parts off it or else you will be searching for many missing parts. In my opinion its a pain in the ass.

anyone ever have issues with your fuel gauge and filling up? when i tried to fill up it wouldnt go for more than 10 cents before shutting off and my fuel gauge is stuck at full for the last 60-70 miles.

From what ive seeen it looks like it may be the Evap charcoal canister?? im not positive but ill try and get it checked out here in a week or so

If its anything like my 04' Chevy was, It was the evap canister. I bought a new one and re routed it up next to the transmission with some heater hose, to keep it from getting clogged. Worked like a charm. I wonder if its the same on these.

Thanks man! and if your going to swap any kind of motor into your truck just go 2uz v8 the first time. I've heard everyone gets tired of the v6 after a while. my rear fiberglass is the TT bedsides from fiberwerx 10in flare 4in rise i believe.

Sweet truck dude! sometimes i wish i built a pickup instead of a 5 lug tacoma. much better platform. My truck probably looks similar to your buddies because of the hood, a lot of dudes have the glassworks hood. I do however think im going to be keeping all the same glass when i do the swap and cage. kinda like the og taco look. too many people have the tundra one piece haha. I think ill probably just buy 6in front fender flares and call it a day with my glass.

Anyone with a single cab running 35% tint on sides and rear? I've got a 1st gen, no factory tint at all on sides or rear.

I don't want anything crazy dark, just enough to where I don't catch a terrible glare off the toolbox in the bed and would like a little privacy.

Thanks! I bought mine from an old off road club friend that owns a shop.....total out the door was $970 mounted and balanced for the four new.....a little rich but worth it, Cooper makes a great tire....and if they are anything like the LT load range E, AT2s I was running I should get 50-60k miles out of them with the religious rotations and proper pressures. As for the suspension, OME 884X's and Nitro 90000's up front, and Wheeler's HD leaf packs rear with Bilstein 5100s.....tail pipe hack, de-flapped etc.
