Trying. I get one step closer and find out I need yet another tool. Should be done Monday if it isn't worse than I thought.

Hey guys, just did the black box mod for my truck (235's rub when wheel is turned to either wheel lock). How do you guys cover the hole that I did this mod? Will mudflaps fit the screw holes? HELP! haha

One of the guys said in the thread you posted he was going to use a parts store rubber mud flap to make a new inner fender liner. You could possibly use one, or a couple, of the factory bolts that you took out to hold the new rubber inner liner up. I would try to find some rubber sheeting at a hardware store, and cut it down to size to make new liners.

I want to buy some LCE headers for my 13 4x4. any recomendations on what else i can get to help with more performance gains? still on the fence with 4.56 or 4.88s. im running 285 grabber at2s at the moment. ive been on 285s with stock gears for about a year now and on road i dont feel underpowered at all i just find myself downshifting a bit more. when i take the truck out on the beach is when i feel like the gearing is awful with these big tires. im just riding the clutch too hard.

I got a quote from Flip-pac today. Considering different options for camping with my truck. Besides flip-pac I am considering building my own, buying a fiber glass or aluminum cap.

I'd go with the fiberglass cap. Would probably last longer.

They are expensive but it would probably be smarter to go with the flip-pac vs a diy. You can find them used, still pricey, but not as much as new. If you do buy new, you can sleep soundly knowing that at any point you can sell it in a few weeks of advertising easily. If you tried to sell the DIY you will never come close to making your money back unless you have some serious skills.

I got a quote from 3 different places for a color matched fiberglass. They are all around $1200 installed. I have been searching for months with no luck finding a regular cab used cap. The above picture is the ARE Overland, I think this could be easily replicated with any other cap by simply adding a black stripe. I am still searching...

The DIY plan was going to be very expensive. If my trek goes well, just have a lack of space, I will look into the DIY once again.
