3" aluminum. 2-90* bends cut and Tig welded on to make the curves then cut a piece of aluminum plate and welded it onto the end that goes into the body. Drilled holes through it and the fenders and bolted it on so I guess that would be considered the mount. Then welded a piece of aluminum angle at the top and used self tapping screws into the pillar to brace it.

Its insane to spend $400 on plastic when this snorkel is WAY more stout and looks WAY better(my opinion.. Some people hate it) and only cost me about $50 to build.

I had a buddy who works at a car get me the 2-90 bends for free since they were scrap so that probably saved me a little bit but still.

Plus this snorkel I can mount on any fender or vehicle really. Its not molded just to one style of fender which means I can reuse it.

Its probably my favorite mod honestly lol.

Waiting to see what derpwerx (or whatever you called your brand) brings out. Just use a level this time . A frowning flat bed would be ugly.

I really like the look of this snorkel. the only thing i think i would do differently would be to have the top of the snorkel flush with the top of the cab

Sliders came in yesterday, ordered them on Monday! Hopefully I'll get some time this weekend to paint them up and then put on next weekend. b3c765555a32fda8820842d89010b841_f3177a64faa01df83f78b6679ff28d8a18e71610.jpg

Do our trucks come prewired for fogs?

Pretty sure I've read they don't, but wanting to confirm. If not, how difficult is the wiring job to do?

Mine did not but the install was super easy. I just used a kit off eBay and it's been almost 2 years now with no issues. There's a lot of diy's and different ways to wire them up

Went to O'Reillys to get some wheel studs for my Tacoma.

First he asked me what year so I said 05+. Fine. 2 or 4wd?.... Umm... 4. It's just wheel studs

    "Front or rear?"

    Me-"wtf .... Rear... Why?"

"Oh the fronts are reverse thread"

Just bit my tounge and walked out with the studs at that point  frikkin idiots.
