I like the look of the Reg. cabs better, but, the Ext. cabs do have alittle storage room?.The Ext. cab runs you about $2,500--$3,000 more though, can't decide if that little extra room is worth $3000?. I guess there are alternatives for the Reg. cab?, storage wise.Would have been nice if Toyota would have at least made the rear of the cab....just behind the seat...alittle bit bigger....to at least accomodate a small tool box!.Decisions,decisions.

Lost track many, many mods ago.

I get that from a lot of people at first glance. Then I tell them it's a Tacoma and they don't believe me till I show them the badges. Then when they don't believe me, I show them the inside of the camper. If it takes them to that point, they finally believe me when they see no seats back there. haha

Buying a bunch of bottled beer and liquor plus a passenger and groceries isn't too fun in a regular cab as i experienced today. Too fragile to have in the bed sliding around and my cargo net is full cuz i r lazy. But the other 300some days a year are looking to be fine in a reg.

I haven't really had any storage problems with my reg cab yet, except with some groceries sliding around back there like someone else said. Under/behind the seats I keep a soft tool bag, some jumper cables, bungee cords, tow straps and a couple other things, and theres still room for a couple grocery bags or a small backpack. I certainly don't think it's worth the extra money for the access cab, unless you have kids or dogs or something like that that need to ride back there. Plus on the extended cabs the wheelbase is a lot longer, so I imagine it probably doesn't handle as nice.

The reg cab is jus the BEST LOOKING truck on the planet. They would've had to pay me to get one w/yardage behind the doors. Small tool box in bed, cargo net and bed mat, good to go. Plus, reg cab owners have better lookin wives than the others.

I may have asked before, but I forget..

Where do I find the tube steps (like the chrome OEM ones) for a regular? I like the Avid offroad ones but they have the step that's lower..I don't want that style.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
or girlfriends. My ex does not qualify.

    Looks good,

My roommates dad has an extra set of these steel wheels he isn't using and I am hoping to convince him to let me have em for a few weeks then I'll plasti-dip them and get new larger tires for my 2012 Silver RC, then give my old ones back to him, hahaha, lol...

Did you do the center caps also???

    Truck looks great bro!

My 11 has holes already there that are for installing the tow hook. I use them to tie down front of kayak or canoe.

Could your mounting spot be behind / above a guard?

I purchased this hook with long bolts from a Toyota dealer to replace the metal plate with the hole in it,

Not sure what model taco it's from but I took pics good enough to see the part numbers...

Stock 4X4 5speed. A little more than a month old now. I'm told my topper should arrive in about 2 weeks. Gotta admit I was a bit nervous about the Grandtrek tires but they've been more than adequate. Gotta drive appropriately for the conditions as I see more than my fair share of snow and ice. Anyhow, my first ever photo post and I'll slap another up after my topper arrives.
