Anyone figure it out yet?

Has anyone figured out the bench seat to bucket swap in the 10-12 yet? I saw online you can get the 2012 reg. cab with buckets but when I went to go buy one I found out thats only with the auto and im looking to get the manual.

Did you try building in another sales region using different zip code? Lot's of differences depending on where you live.
Good luck,

xA101x, See if you can build online or find a dealer with a regular cab with a "SR5" package.

If that fails, then it should not be a major task to swap out bench seats for buckets. Find a set of buckets seats at a salvage yard. I expect your truck will have all 4 holes drilled for the buckets seat mouints on each side already there, if not, drill 2 holes and use large washers underneath.

If I'm not mistaken, you need to search for 09-12 buckets as I believe they have the side airbags built into them.....Check on this to make sure.

That's what I always heard. I really considered a regular cab stick, but my wife is really short, and had she driven us (as she sometimes does) I would have been jammed into the dash. Wish Toyota would make the buckets an upgrade option.

I tried that and I also tried to find one with an SR5 package. The SR5 isn't offered in the RC models anymore.

I read on here that the harness is different and wont work. I was thinking of trying to just take all the electrical from the bench and transfer it to some after market buckets. I think the bench only has an airbag sensor in it not an actual airbag.

xA101x,

I did an online build at Toyota.com yesterday for my zip code(Ohio). It showed a 2012 regular cab, manual transmission, 4X4, 4 Cylinder with bucket seats. Are you actually talking with a dealer / salesman?
